Many clients require tax planning to avoid or reduce federal estate taxes and state inheritance taxes, or further asset protection.

The firm serves as counsel in probate and estate administration, guardianships, contested trusts, will contests, and other litigation and settlement of estates and trusts in Porter County and Lake County, Indiana , as well as elder law and Medicaid.

Since 1997, Michael B. Miller has authored a booklet entitled "10 Basic Rules of Estate Planning".
